5 Ways in Which the Qur’aan is Rejected
By Imaam ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (d.751H)
Transcribed by Aboo Uthmaan [1]
Forms of rejecting the Qur’aan:
One: to refuse to listen to it, have faith in it and pay attention to it.
Two: to refuse to act according to it, abide by its lawful and unlawful commandments, even if the person reads it and has faith in it.
Three: to reject its arbitration and litigation according to its principles and branches of the religion and to believe that its words are not meant to be indisputable, and that its proofs are verbal and do not reach the level of real knowledge.
Four: to reject careful consideration of it, and fail to understand it and learn that which the Speaker intended.
Five: to reject seeking medication with it concerning all the diseases of the heart, by seeking the cure of such diseases from other than it.

An Explanation of the Parable Concerning the Tree of Faith
By Shaykh ‘Abdur-Rahmaan as-Sa’dee (d.1376H)
Transcribed by Aboo Uthmaan [1]
Allaah, the Exalted, propounds a metaphor for faith, saying:
“Do you not see how Allaah sets forth a metaphor of a good word: a good tree whose roots are firm and whose branches are in the sky? It bears fruit all the time by its Lord’s permission. Allaah sets forth metaphors for people so that hopefully they will pay heed.” (Ibrahim 14:24-25)
Allaah, Glorious and Exalted is He, has likened a good word to a good tree because just as a good tree produces beneficial and delicious fruits, so too does the good word produce righteous actions. This metaphor then corresponds with the exegesis of the majority who said, “The good word is the testification that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah.” [2] This is because this testification sprouts all inward and outward righteous actions; hence every single righteous action one could perform, which pleases Allaah, the Mighty and Magnificent, results as a fruit of this statement.
The Fruits from Belief in the Pillars of Eemaan
By Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-’Uthaymeen (d.1421H)
Transcribed by Aboo Uthmaan [1]
P. 150:
Eemaan in Allaah, the Most High, as we have described it, will produce great fruits for the believers, from them:
(i) That he implements and realises the tawheed of Allaah, the Most High, such that he is not attached and devoted to other than Him. So he does not place hope in others, fear others, and does not worship any besides Him.
(ii) Completion of one’s love for Allaah, the Most High, and to revere Him as is demanded by His Perfect Names and Exalted Attributes.
(iii) To accomplish worship of Him by doing whatever He has commanded, and avoiding whatever He has forbidden.

The Salaf’s Guide to the Understanding of al-Qadaa wal-Qadar
I have uploaded a very beneficial treatise on the subject of “Al-Qadaa wal-Qadar” by Shaykh, Dr. Saleh as-Saleh. The subject matter is very important because it is a Pillar of Eemaan; however, many aspects of it are often misunderstood. This book shares with the reader the correct understanding of the topic at hand and lists numerous benefits that spring from that correct understanding. You can download the book here:
The Salaf’s Guide to the Understanding of al-Qadaa wal-Qadar by Dr. Saleh as-Saleh
Do we Believe like they Believed?
Written by Aboo Uthmaan
Almost every single Muslim individual and group claims to follow the Qur’aan and Sunnah, but what distinguishes fact from fiction is the understanding that they follow the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) upon. Is it that of a mystic, a modernist, a philosopher, a politician or is it that of those group of people who Allaah has ordered us to follow the understanding of?
Are Muslims Just People of “Works”?
By Abu Khaliyl
Transcribed by Aboo Uthmaan [1]
Many people believe that because Muslims talk about laws and we are not allowed to do this and we have to fast this month and we have to pray at this time and so fourth, they think that we are just people of “works” and they will quote to us that you can’t get into heaven with “works” alone. This is not the case in that Muslims are not just people of “works”; rather…
Is the Qur’aan a Proof for You or a Proof Against You?
By Dr. Saleh as-Saleh (d.1429H)
Transcribed by Aboo Uthmaan [1]
The Qur’aan is a proof for the believer who establishes what is required of him/her regarding this Noble Book. The requirement is stated in the great hadeeth in which the Prophet (sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) declared that:
“Religion is advice…”
He (sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) clarified that part of this advice is:
“To Allaah, His Book…” (Reported by Muslim)
Advice to the Book of Allaah has many aspects to it, including:
“…We Worship them only that they May Bring us Near to Allaah…”
Written by Aboo Uthmaan
Allaah (subhaanahu wa ta’aala) says:
“And I (Allaah) created not the jinn’s and humans except they should worship Me (Alone).” (Adh-Dhariyat 51:56)
So why do we (when we were created to worship Allaah) see many Muslims worshiping other than Allaah and / or promoting the worship of other than Allaah?
